Boeing Boeing or The 39 Steps?#1
Posted: 5/22/08 at 4:18pm
Hey everybody
My family and I are going to New York the third week of June.
I'm going to be seeing a few shows just on my own (such as PASSING STRANGE, CRY-BABY, A CATERED AFFAIR, etc.), but my family is going to see 2 shows all together.
We already have tickets for AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY which I am extremely excited about, you have no idea! =]
So yeah, I'm just wondering which other show you guys recommend we should see- BOEING BOEING or THE 39 STEPS?
It really doesn't matter to me (whatever show I don't see with them I'll just see myself), so I was just wondering what you all think is the better or more enjoyable show.

Thank you!

BOEING BOEING...you can rent 39 STEPS from any DVD store.

I loved both of them. The 39 Steps is a very creative production. Boeing has a really wonderful cast. Both shows are very funny, but for me, Boeing is the funnier of the two.

You can also rent the film of Boeing-Boeing (and watch Thelma Ritter walk away with the movie). Renting The 39 Steps doesn't convey what the stage version is all about.
Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.

Indeed. The stage version is very different from both film versions.

Both are hilarious. I would go with Boeing-Boeing though. The cast is amazing!

I had a MUCH better time at Boeing-Boeing. I didn't stop laughing at Boeing-Boeing and the cast was perfect. That would be my choice.

I would love to see both, but I would choose 39 Steps. I just wish I'd had one more day in London so I could have caught the performance there back in March.

Boeing Boeing by all means!!! 39 Steps is just silly and NOT in a good way. Sophomoric, may be closer to home.
