So I got a call from Roundabout theater today- and they talked to me about their upcoming productions including Pal Joey, and the guy told me" and the man who plays Joey will take the city's breathe away" or something to that nature
this was about 3 hours ago? atleast? and I can't get my mind off who it'll be
Who do you think will play Joey and who do you want to play Joey? [ I don't know the show well enough to have a true opinion on the matter :X]

I thought Christian Hoff was just about as official as it gets without getting an official announcement.
You should have asked about Vera instead.

Yup. She has been rumored as Vera for a while now. Meh. I was hoping for a Donna Murphy type... meaning Donna Murphy. Oh well.
Maybe, MAYBE, if Cyndi Lauper is indeed playing Gladys, I'll see it, but I doubt it.

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.

Posted: 5/8/08 at 9:53pmI'm okay with Channing, no so much as the Joey. IMO, the only one in NYC who has all the credentials for Joey is Curtis Holbrook -- it IS a dance role. But he doesn't have a "name" -- not that the guy who is doing it does either.
