Has anyone seen it lately? Did the cast change at all? Most notably what is the cast like at the DuPont Theatre in DE (playing this week). I'll be seeing it tommorrow, just haven't heard anytyhing in a while.

And random, but will they give out a Playbill? And what about merchandise..what's there?

I saw it Wednesday night at DuPont theatre
It was great.
Ive never seen the show or heard anything "really" from the show but I thought it was really good. The lighting design is brilliant!
Go see it if you get a chance
The cast was great as well, very strong.

Yes there was a playbill
Merchandise - I dont know cause I personally think its a waste of money but I know they had t-shirts, cast albums, posters etc.

I saw the show a month or so ago and enjoyed it. It wasn't the BEST tour I have seen. But, it was pretty good. I had never seen the show before. i assume if you have seen the show it probably won't live up to what you have seen before....

Just saw the 2:00 PM matinee at the DuPont, and for the most part I enjoyed it. I really loved the understudy for Peron's Mistress, but I forget her name re: Non-Equity Evita Tour..., and she's not in Playbill. It's possible that it's Lisa Schale, but I don't remember seeing that name on the "At this Performance" board. This is my first time seeing EVITA, which for a long time has been one of my favourite shows and so glad to get the chance to see it.

It was only my third non-equity tour show, the others being Cats (no problems) and Jekyll & Hyde, which I don't recall all too much other than Annie Berthimue (sp?). However, this was the one with the most problems :. Act 1 went smoothly for the most part..not too big of a fan of some of the leads, but whatever. The only thing in Act 1 that I thought was complete overkill was the avaitor sunglasses and fake moustaches that the soldiers wore. "Another Suitcase in Another Hall" sung by ____ was truly spectacular!

Act 2 however was ................. ! Don't Cry for Me Argentina was nicely sung by understudy Eugenia Primis, whose bio says she performed as Elphaba in Japan? However, the biggest problem happened in "Rainbow High," where the ensemble (which may have been short but unlikely seeing as no male understudies were performing in leads) stopped in the middle while Eva was still getting changed...she quickly just acted like nothing happened after a gap in the song, but seemed nervous when she sang the next verse. She then missed some lines in the next verse. The next problem/strange thing happened in the Waltz for Eva & Che. The two got ready to Waltz, held hands and then just casually let go, after going around the circle half a time. It was just really bizarre. Then the Che acted like he was jumping around yelling "boo!," which was just wierder.

However, all in all I had a great time and I would reccommend it before it closes to see it if possible, because who knows when we will see a tour again!?

Did anyone else see it at the DuPont?

The understudy for the Mistress was Kathryn Holtramp on Wednesday so it might have been the same.
I don't remember any problems during my show.
Did you get u/s slips?

That's it! Kathryn Holtramp.

I thought she was really good.

And no, no slips? I wonder if she took over the role and the DuPont didn't know and just decided to post the board? How was your Eva? Did you have Eugenia?

If I'm not mistaken, it either closes at the DuPont (in DE) or has only one more week. Look for the list in another EVITA Tour thread or I'll try to find it. It's so difficult for some reason!

I know all the merchandise was 50% off of everything, so I'm not sure. Updated On: 5/18/08 at 12:01 AM

I had the full cast besides the mistress
I had never seen the show before and I wasnt that familiar with the songs so I didnt really know who the Mistress was but Eva was flawless. Beautiful voice.
