I'm confused... Next season seems quite crowded, what shows are for sure opening, and what shows are rumored without a theatre solidified? 2008/2009 season seems very full...

Rumored: west side story dancin' 9 to 5 enchanted the wiz bye bye birdie anything goes
Country Girl begins previews a week from tomorrow and opens April 27. Boeing-Boeing begins previews April 19 and opens May 4. They're considered part of this season.

Billy Eliot starts in September at the Imperial. Shrek starts in November at the Broadway. Equus starts in September at the Broadhurst. "I mean, sitting side by side with another man watching Patti LuPone play Rose in GYPSY on Broadway is essentially the equivalent of having hardcore sex." -Wanna Be A Foster.
"Say 'Goody.' Say 'Bubbi.'" ... "That's it. Exactly as if it were 'Goody.' Now I know you're gonna sing 'Goody' this time, but nevertheless..."
Enchanted? As in the movie musical which came onto DVD this past Tuesday starring Amy Adams? As a STAGE musical?
Did you make that up?
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

If all the rumored/confirmed new musicals open, we'll have:
9 to 5 Billy Elliot Busker Alley (would be considered a new musical, correct?) Catch Me If You Can Dancing In The Dark Next To Normal Phantom Sequel Shrek Spiderman Tale Of Two Cities Vanities
Am I forgetting anything?

clearly, if disney were to do thier next musical NEXT season, it would obviusly be Hunchback, considerring that it's been the only one with rumors spreading from both Shwatrz and Menken. Otherwise, newsies. Of course there's always the possibility of High School Musical moving into the nederlander, making it an interesting year, with HSM3 and the tour of HSM2, plus the ice tour, AND HSM on Broadway.
