What do you think of Lindsay Lohan's pictures? I'm not a fan of all of those freckles all over her body.

Wow, I didn't need to see that much of her. I have to echo what Tina Fey said on SNL last night. She never fails to come up with new ways to make her look old.

Ok seriously?
I actually think her body is gorgeous.

But it is NOT hard to make someone look like Marilyn Monroe. Hundreds of men do it everyday. If they wanted some young actress, they should have gone with Scarlett.
First of all? Sorry, but MM was what...a size 14? LL doesn't have those curves anymore.
And with MM's pictures, there was this connection that she had with the camera that is undeniably lacking in Lindsay's. It just looks like she or they tried wayy too hard.
What sort of affect is this supposed to have on us? Is it a way of bringing Lindsay back with some wonderful photos? If that's the objective, those pictures did nothing for her. Nothing nothing.

Nice try, but not even close to what I suppose they wanted those pictures to be.

EDIT: I know that sounded horribly critical of me. But if they're going to go through so much trouble to make the pictures just right in honor of MM and what not....they should have made it just right.

Yeah I agree Annak, there are other actresses out there who could have done a better job. I usually think that Lindsay Lohan is fairly pretty, but these photos were not flattering.

And I know she has to wear a blonde wig for the whole Marilyn Monroe look, but Lindsay's skin (and the freckles) dont look right with that shade of blonde. They might have looked terrific with her red hair.

Plus it's not a very well done wig. You can REALLY tell it's a wig.

I thought she looked fine. Recreating the Marilyn shoot, but not copying it(ie sans freckles or tattoo) worked for me, such as it was. Lohan's substance abuse history at such an early age has her on a very slippery slope, and the Marilyn tie-in makes it just a little bit creepy. At least for me.

For me, it comes down to one thing: Lindsay does not have the raw sensuality and sexuality that Marilyn conveyed.

Marilyn was a vintage 12-14, which is the equivalent of a modern size 6-8.

I thought that, too, Diva. Madonna did some similar pix years ago.

Salon ran an a column about this that had several things in it that I found to be food for thought.

...But far more interesting than the photos -- which you may or may not be able to access, as the site's server has been overloaded -- is what inspired Lohan to officially reveal her private bits for the camera. The thrice-rehabbed starlet says she simply couldn't turn down the opportunity to re-create the final photographic romp before Monroe overdosed on barbiturates; she felt being asked to participate was in itself "really an honor." This requires repeating: The rehab veteran felt honored to re-create the final booze-fueled photo shoot that came just six weeks before Monroe died from a drug overdose. In fact, Lohan idolizes the late icon; she has filled her house with Monroe memorabilia -- including a painting showing a tipped-over "bottle of pills next to her" -- and even purchased an apartment where the star once lived...

...For her part, Lohan frames the shoot as a way to revolt against the soul-grinding Hollywood machine. She tells New York that both Monroe and the recently deceased Heath Ledger are "prime examples of what this industry can do to someone" and argues -- much as she might deconstruct the Hollywood cooter cabaret of 2006 -- that Monroe's decision to disrobe was subversive. "She's saying, 'Look, you've taken a lot from me, so why don't I give it to you myself,'" Lohan says. "She's taking control back." Except, there is no self-protection, no real reclamation of personal power there; enthusiastically objectifying oneself seems only to satisfy and confirm the public's total ownership of female celebrities....

...As Jessica Valenti wrote this week on Feministing, "This spread fetishizes the death and downfall of women in the public eye." That Lohan, angrily as it may be, embraces the public's smothering interest in sex symbols in all their "fragile, needy, flawed" glory seems a symptom of the increasingly common sex-symbol Stockholm syndrome.

I know Hollywood is a tough place to be. And I know she's sort of been caught since she was a kid. But if you are so SO against the EVIL that is HOLLYWOOD..why remain in that environment?

It's really easy for someone in Lindsay Lohan's position to whine about fame and the effects of the Hollywood lifestyle. But the problem with that is there are plenty of other young Hollywood actresses who aren't having the problems that she has. I blame her parents and handlers. Just like the people around Britney Spears, they chose to profit off of her reckless image and notoriety rather than worrying about whats best for her.

i think thats what she was trying to do when she went to Utah for rehab, or thats probably what she wants everyone to think. it is obvious she couldnt wait to get back to california. but i agree, i think she needs to get as far away from that place as possible unless she wants to end up like britney. hahah.

Yeah. I mean, I can only imagine what stars like that go through. I don't think their rich and wealthy life is EASY but it's CERTAINLY something they chose. I know it's easy for me to sit here at my computer and say these things, but I hate when people whine and whine and denounce things that they are firmly a part of and won't..well, leave.

I think 13 is the best out of them. The rest look too forced, like someone else said. The wig was a mistake. Her natural red would have been a lot better.
