And, that means I can plan a COMPANY night for my friend sooner. (He hasn't seen the show yet).
"I am and always will be the optimist. The hoper of far-flung hopes and dreamer of improbable dreams." - Doctor Who
"Yes, the brutalities of progress are called revolutions. When they are over, men recognize that the human race has been harshly treated but it has moved forward." - Les Miserables
I just ordered (the new release date got me excited). Like Emcee, I was going to buy it off PBS anyway since they made it happen in the first place and I'm forever grateful to them :)
Did anyone who has already ordered the DVD from WNET get any sort of confirmation from them yet? There was no order number on the transaction report, and I haven't gotten any sort of confirmation email from them.
Oh man, I would really love to get the Blu-Ray (yummyness in high def!), but I would really like to get the DVD early also (so I can start watching it on repeat mode sooner).
Should I splurge and pre-order the DVD, and also pick up the Blu-Ray disc, or should I just wait for the Blu-Ray???
WNET should be shipping the DVD's today, if they hold with their 3/10 release date. Ideally they'd be received today, but I'm not holding my breath. Hopefully there will be an email saying they've been shipped.
The March 17, 2008 was the original date announced on their site. The March 10, 2008 date came from nowhere and unexpected. I guess they are sticking to their originally announced date after all.
I know that, but it's still weird that they'd switch and go back again. On the supposed new shipping date. Ah well. What's another week? I have it recorded, but I want those special features.
ETA: I just called, and they are shipping, not arriving, on the 17th.

SYNOPSIS: Winner of the 2007 Tony Award! Sweeping all the major theater awards for Best Revival of a Musical, a beloved era-defining classic is stunningly reinvented in this powerful Broadway production, featuring an explosive starring performance by Raul Esparza. Set in modern upper-crust Manhattan, Company is a funny, sophisticated exploration of love and commitment as seen through the eyes of a charming perpetual bachelor questioning his single state and his enthusiastically married, slightly envious friends. With a wise and witty Stephen Sondheim score including "Another Hundred People," "Side by Side by Side," "The Ladies Who Lunch" and "Being Alive," Company offers musical comedy at its finest.
