Both shows are coming to Atlanta me and a friend of mine are trying to decide which one will be better to go see. Can anyone tell me how the cas is in each one?
Why don't you go to both? Rush for Rent - if you get there early enough you'll have a guaranteed $20 ticket. Buy some cheap seats to Color Purple.
So, that was the Drowsy Chaperone. Oh, I love it so much. I know it's not a perfect show...but it does what a musical is supposed to do. It takes you to another world, and it gives you a little tune to carry with you in your head for when you're feeling blue. Ya know?
Let's see...The 17th National Non-Union Tour of Rent or the First National Tour of TCP...?
Rent is going to be around forever. See TCP.
"This thread has just crossed over to BEST THREAD OF THE DAY land. It might have won the BEST THREAD OF THE WEEK award, were it not for stupid deer."

I agree with Angry Deer! RENT has been around FOREVER and will have another umpteen million non-union versions as this one is. Go see COLOR PURPLE. We saw it on Bway and we were very surprised at just how much we truly enjoyed it!
"God, I hope it's not a REAL emergency...I only brought one bottle of Vodka!"
That's my Diva Dog, Sake in the picture.
Yes...I would see The Color Purple. It is a fresh new tour with some nice names in it... Rent...is on its 189th run
