Tivo and HDTV#1

i got a Vizio HDTV for Xmas. have a series 2 Tivo box that connects my satelite to my TV.

this may be a dumb question but - if my tivo is not HD does that mean i won't see my TV in HD? for instance channel 231 is both FOODTV and FOODTVHD, but both channels look the same and are playing the same program even though the HD channel shows a different title.

Tivo Series 2 does not give an HD signal or recrd in HD - you need an HD compatible DVR, I don't believe, though I could be wrong, that Tivo HD is compatible with Satellite at all.

You need to get a Tivo HD machine. And of course it is compatible with satellite. We love ours.
