I have a friend who is in Europe and I want to ask him to bring me back a London recording of a show. Any suggestions on which recording to look for and buy?

Not sure if it is still available, but "A Little Night Music" with Judi Dench would be good to own.

There is a place in London that might just have that Judi Dench A little Night Music -- The shop is Dress Circle. I've never been there, but I've heard it has a great collection of West End stuff.

I have Jerry Springer-The Opera and it is worth the money! I thought it sounded like a horrendous and completely distasteful idea, but after listening to it, I can't wait to see it! I play it all the time. It has one of the most ingenious scores I've heard in years.
