Does anyone know how long he will be in Spring Awakening? I'm hoping to see him come spring, and I'd love to see J. Groff and Lea as well! How long will the three leads be there?

I heard Gallagher is leaving next month. I know that Groff is on leave right now to do a pilot, but I'm pretty sure that he will be coming back.

No! I want it to be the sixteenth! Of course, I don't want him to leave at all and things might not go over well with the strike, but if he does leave then I'm there on his last night!

I have tix for the 9th 2:00 show on stage I hope the strike is over by then. If not will John Extend because I really want to see him once more.

Any talk on who's replacing him? I could see Gerard

Apparently this is because he has been so good at every role he has understudied.

The strike won't effect him. I asked John Lloyd Young, from Jersey Boys, if the strike would cause him to extend his stay and he said no it wouldn't. It's so sad that these guys aren't going to spend their last few days performing.

Uggggh, I had tickets for tomorrow's show which clearly will not happen. The idea was to see the show while the main key players were still around.

Sigh..I'll be really disappointed if he's leaving shortly.

he's said that to many people, but it's not true. several people have been informed of the final show date (in confidence, i imagine), but it's certainly gotten around and isn't too hard to find the actual date.

Well, if the strike drags into Decemeber-past his 'Talked About" final performance....John would have already given his final performance on 11/9.

Well, now that the strike is over-they may finally make it "Official" and announce when John is leaving SA. The actor's name that is rumored to be his replacement is BLAKE BASHOFF, 26 yrs old-looks very young for his age-and has been on LOST this past season. Not too much theater background though. This should prove to be interesting if true. I am sure the casting people for SA know what they are doing. But Johnny has some big shoes to fill.

Bashoff was cast almost two months ago.

He's going into the show next month.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.

i saw the show a few hours ago and he told me that his last show date is up in the air but its definately NOT dec. 9 it will be later than that

According to a fan on the Spring Awakening fansite, who spoke to John at the Stage Door, he told her they are "working things out" for him to just take a long break from the show and then return. What the hell? Now is is not leaving...I have a headache from all this confusion...and sadly, beginning to not care anymore.
