Lost in all the hoopla re his demands is the fact that any team who can afford him will pay a much higher luxury tax.

His over the top demands may actually do some good. Maybe ownership is starting to see the absolute insane levels of salarys for premier players.

I wonder if all those who say sign him are willing to pay thru the nose for much higher admission prices & concessions. The Mets would be a great team with him. Having said that, they have many more needs & the money they would have to pay him could be used to address the needs in many other areas.
