I was looking through wikipedia.org and I found out that a motion picture is set to release in the fall of 2010, with Anne Hathaway and Mandy Moore? Now I don't know if this is right, so someone can tell me if its true, before I get my hopes up. Also there is going to be a Mexican version?wth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It seems like every few weeks another "wicked movie" thread pops up .....
"You drank a charm to kill John Proctor's wife! You drank a charm to kill Goody Proctor!" - Betty Parris to Abigail Williams in Arthur Miller's The Crucible
I went and looked it up and saw nothing regarding a movie for 2010...can you provide a link?
"In the U.S.A.
You can have your say,
You can set you goals
And seize the day,
You've been given the freedom
To work your way
To the head of the line-
To the head of the line!"
---Stephen Sondheim
wikepedia is a lie.. dont believe anything you read on that sight.. And no, currently there is no movie planned, although, once the box office settles down on Broadway in another ten years, then they will make a movie...
"It's terrible to have a house fall on you, it is, but accidents will happen"
Um, I'm pretty sure there is a movie and that it's out on dvd. The other night I was at my friend's house and we watched it. Idina and Kristen were both in it. They shot the movie like a play, which was kind of cool.
It came out last Friday. Where have you been? Broadwayworld had exclusive videos and everything. I can't believe the digital anti-aging technology they used to make Idina and Kristin look like college age students! Plus, Carol Channing was a hoot as Madame Morrible.
"Your lyrics lack subtlety! You can't just have your characters announce how they feel! That makes me feel angry!"
Yeah, that was a poor choice. Especially when he just stopped singing in the middle of "A Sentimental Man" and just started making nervous noises and saying "I... gee... just... oh jeez..." for five minutes. But Sasha Baron Cohan as Fiyero worked pretty well. He rapped all of "Dancing Through Life" quite effectively! And Zac Efron really made Dr. Dillamond into a fully-fleshed out character.
But speaking of shocking situations, can you believe they cut "Defying Gravity" and put it over the end credits sung by Celine Dion? That was so unexpected!

I heard that America Ferrara is in talks to star as Elphaba (Elfaba in Spanish) for the Mexican Premiere cast and tonight's WICKED infused episode on UGLY BETTY was part of a negotiation agreement between Universal Pictures, Marc Platt and ABC Television in order for America to star in the first spanish-language production of WICKED (to be titled: BRUJAS: El Musical).
Also in talks is Thalia for G(a)linda and Mexican theater grande diva Silvia Pinal and Anjelica Maria alternating evening and matinees performances in the role of Madama Morible (Silvia for evening shows; Anjelica for matinee shows).
wow, very surprising the ignorance on the board. OP had a ?, why dont we try answering the question asked and stop pouncing on that person. Its time to grow a little people. Just a little.
On another note, Mandy Moore would be an excellent choice however wickipedia is not a good source for valid information.
I made a list of all your faults, it was quite detailed and lengthy too and when I read it through I missed you. Your like a classic Eagles song, you just cant help but sing along even though it sometimes gets annoying too. I just know I want to be wherever I can wake and see you there next to me. **High Fidelity**
