I'm trying to build a new audition repertoire book for an upcoming broadway audition.What types of songs should my book consist of?

o yeah, i forgot to ask if "run and tell that" would be a bad choice considering that hairspray's popular right now

You should post this on the Student Board.

You will get more replies that way. And this is the very thing that board is for.

To answer your question, your book should have uptempo songs as well as ballads. They should be from different genres and different years, i.e. a belty song from a recent rock musical, and a R&H ballad.

Each song should have 32 or 16 bar cuts that you can use.

They should all be songs you know well and that display your voice and acting ability.
