I did a search and nothing came up. I'm wondering, how's the lotto been since the release of the movie? Is it still easy to win or has it been drawing crowds?
A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.
I went saturday nite and there were roughly 60 people there. We won but they only gave away 12 pairs of seats, front row. I say if you bring a friend its worth a shot. The draw at 5:30 sharp so be there.
Last Friday there had to be 70 people there for 22 seats. I did not win. According to the lotto guy, even the weekday shows are drawing crowds. The Wednesday mat had close to 100 people. Definitely alot harder to win, that's for sure...but certainly not at Wicked's level yet.
Keep in mind that the stage is VERY high for Hairpsray. I am 6'3" and I had my eyes were level with the stage. If you're short, I would strongly recommend getting one of the booster seats.

I'll give it another go tonight. And I'm meeting up with someone tomorrow...maybe with three of us, SOMEONE will get drawn! It's getting to the ridiculously hilarious stage now.

the lotto seats are not THAT bad there. I am 5'8" and they are fine for me.. it really depends on the individual and where your seat is along the stage. But then again, some people will griope about any little thing. Won't they?
I can't say about Hairspray because I haven't seen it yet. LOL. But I agree BroadwayGuy2... I think by and large people far exaggerate some seating issues.

My parents offered to get me one at Curtains when someone really tall sat down in front of me in the mezz. (I'm 5'6" and this person was completely in my way!) I said no. I wouldn't to that to the people behind me. And when the guy sat back, I was fine.

Wow! What a change! I saw the show several times last summer and the lottery was always so empty that they never even had to go through the whole process. We just lined up and EVERY person there got the tickets. I'm glad the shows doing better!!
jordangirl, I am SO happy you finally got in! Everyone should be able to see Hairspray once. It's the biggest party on Broadway!
Yes, the far left and right seats are up a little higher than the center seats due to the curvature of the orchestra floor. And you also get stepped on/over by Prudy!

Oh yay, so lad you enjoyed it! and my name is in a sig file, yay me! :) And I totally didn't even think about the fact that you'd get to be on the Prudy side of the first row- that's so much fun! Do the Prudys still break the 4th wall with the "I have so few lines as it is, will you please just let me through?" type line? That was always my fave, but I thought I'd heard that they'd stopped having the Prudys do that?
