Did anyone get to see them?
Any reviews?

You're so lucky! Could you go in detail a little more?

Well i was house manager and got to sit in one day. They rehearsed a lot in London obviously cos they could work her on the set. She was terribly nervous bout doing it after the success of Phantom for her on Broadway.
You may like to know that around the same time acertain young lady spent an afternoon in the basement bar going thru numbers with ALW and the casting group.
Name of young lady! CZJ
Catherine Zeta Jones. great she was too but they considered her too young at the time.

I saw Sarah Brightman on tour but I thought Ann Crumb did the role in London and on Broadway. When did Sarah Brightman do Rose on Bway/London?

Sarah Brightman performed on Broadway shortly before it ended its run.

Anne Crumb opened both London and Broadway. Sarah came along as a replacement.

Sarah was certainly a replacement in London and a mighty fine one at that. I also loved how the score developed during the run, including a significant change to "there is more to love" - becoming a beautiful duet between Rose and Guilietta. I always liked that number as a solo but the way this duet became was just ravishing.

Something that I thought interesting at the time was that Brightman didn't perform Thursday evening shows. I think she took on the Wednesday matinee.

I believe she was in NYC around 1990 - it was the first show I saw on Broadway...and she was out the night I went.

Sadly London lost Anne Crumb before her contract was up. She had a major accident on stage in full view of the audience with less than 5 minutes of the show to go. She got well enough thankfully to open on Broadway a year later.

I have window cards of the London production with Rodger Moores name above Micheal Ball and Anne Crumb. I wonder if they are worth anything?

It's a shame that the theater lost Sarah Brightman to......whatever it is that she does. She could have really been something special to musicals.

I would have loved to hear John Cullum's take on the songs.

Maybe Sarah will return to Broadway one day, I doubt it though.
