Wow. She looked so gaunt on Larry King. She seemed to be in a lot of pain, yet tried to remain positive to the very end. I'm glad she's at peace, and I hope her loved ones find comfort.

This was to be expected but it still saddens me. She was such a trooper throughout her ordeal. I'm glad she's in a better place now.

May she rest in peace. I saw her final interview with Larry King and thought she was very brave to do it. She really was a remarkable woman!

Whether or not you're a religious person (and I'm not), you still have to be saddened by the fact that there is one less truly loving and kind person on the Earth now.

I remember the silliness of Tammy and Jim. But, it seems that she rejected her past and ended her life on a very positive note!

Very well put sondheimboy2! Tammy Faye seemed to love everyone without judgement (and I'm gay). If there is a better place (and I'd like to think there is), she surely is there.

What a strong woman to say her goodbyes in that manner. She turned out to be a true inspiration and I wish that her dreams of heaven come true. Her moments with Larry King were truly heartbreaking.......but how many people could show the strength that she did? I for one believed every word she said.

May she finally rest in peace.

Dammit if I didn't cry my face off. What a sweet, daffy, wacky, caring woman she was...I would have quite liked to have known her, I think. re: Tammy Faye has died

Not only that but, as someone mentioned on another board, she "embraced the gay community when nobody would even shake the hand of someone with AIDS." You rarely see that anymore.

Jim J lives in our neck of the woods - I hope he was able to see her at the end. Their relationship and interaction said a LOT to the world.

I hope for peace to her soul, and to her family and friends.

I'm not kidding. The first time she ever came on my radar was because a few friends of mine wanted to do a show about her. I'm still pretty in the dark about who she is aside from that she was a televangelist and she wore a lot of mascara.

I've never really cared much about at that middle America christian thing... I dunno. I just never heard of her until last year. It's still sad though. From what people tell me she was an admirable person. Would that more Christians were like her.

"I'm still pretty in the dark about who she is aside from that she was a televangelist and she wore a lot of mascara."

LOL! That really made me laugh out loud.

I'd known about her for years (not too much, though), but my first real "encounter" with her was during THE SURREAL LIFE back in 2003. She was such a wonderful personality.

They put this little funny christian lady in a house with a porn star, a whorish reality star, Vanilla Ice and others. She loved them all. What a sweet soul. I wish I had been able to know her.
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!

Living just outside of Charlotte, NC since 1987 I had a front row seat for Jim and Tammy and the whole PTL scandal. I even visited PTL in December of 87 to see the opulent Christmas light display.

In the years after, I would see her from time to time in the malls around here -- and you obviously couldn't miss her! She was always very happy to speak with anyone who approached her.

It is sad to hear of her passing, but after seeing her on Larry King this past week, I can only imagine that she is now in a much better place.
