And is it true that KRISTIN is going to play Edna? It doesn't matter that she isn't a man because she can do anything so how could they possibly pick someone else? She must have been casted.

I really wanted Keifer Sutherland for Edna.

Yeah, I heard about this remake of John Waters' HAIRSPRAY.

From what I've read, Velma is played by Jessica Simpson and her sister Ashley is playing Amber. Perfect casting, I tell you!

I also read that Queen Latifah might be playing Motormouth Maybelle. Hope she takes the role -- she'd be PERFECT!
