Disney currently has a Hercules stage show on one of its cruise ships that's actually not half bad, but I think I would hate to see it on Broadway. I'd love for them to do something a little more human. Mulan would be amazing...

I know everyone loves to hate Disney, but they could be doing a lot for theatre that they aren't yet. I like their shows, but they aren't showing any signs of evolving their production method.

With Disney's money, creativity, and brand recognition they should really be alligning themselves with new, exciting, visionary directors and writers and creating really new, breathtaking stage shows. There aren't a lot of producers in New York who could afford to sink a ton of money into something daring and untested, but Disney could, and I think they really should. That doesn't mean it can't be family friendly entertainment, but family friendly doesn't mean it can't be really good.

Probably not Der Glockner Von Notre Dame, sadly.

Aladdin would be an awesome stage show! Is it just me or do Ali Ewoldt and Adam Jacobs from Les Mis look like the the perfect Jasmine and Aladdin?

I would love to see Anastasia done.

Ohman. I didn't realize that it's not Disney. But I still would love to see it as a show. Updated On: 3/17/07 at 11:36 PM

Aladdin is already a stage show in LA. I am DYING for it to come to Broadway!! Hercules would also be great but I don't think it would be financially successful because a lot of people aren't fans of the movie as much as The Lion King or Beauty and the Beast or whatever. Mulan would be good but they couldn't really pull of the far-away shots of thousands of soldiers like in the film, or the battle sequences with back-flipping on roofs and stuff. Lea Salonga is wayyy too old to play jasmine or mulan, they are both supposed to be teenagers. she is good, don't get me wrong, but she couldn't pull of a fifteen-year old.

I'll say it: Nothing. Don't we have enough?

Not a big fan of the mouse on Broadway.

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

I'd like to see something more daring, like one of their older ones.

Does anyone remember plans for a "Pinocchio" stage musical directed by Taymor? THAT, done right, would be phenomenal.

Someone just brought up "Fantasia". I think that could be a ground-breaking spectacle. A combination of the virtues of "Beauty And The Beast" and "The Lion King" while introducing classical composers to Broadway. It could be perfect.

"Alice In Wonderland" is the kind of warped story that maybe Disney could modernize a little and write more songs. At the very least it would be a visual feast. "Peter Pan" also, I'm surprised they haven't done that.

The list goes on.

Alice in Wonderland would be spectacular!
Peter Pan would also be good, but Broadway fans would probably be too attached to the non-Disney Peter Pan stage musical to really accept it.

Sleeping Beauty could also be really cool, I think "Once Upon a Dream" is a beautiful song, of course they would have to add more, hopefully Menken and whoever he's most collaborating with now would do it!
