I was wondering, are there any Broadway-related special events, solo concerts or cabarets happening around NYC from the 30th March - 8th April?
I'm in town and would love to catch something out of the ordinary (eg the Ben Folds concert later this month).
I'm also hoping to see Spring Awakening, A Chorus Line, Tarzan, The Pirate Queen, In The Heights and The Drowsy Chaperone while I'm there. I'd go for Company but I just finished a production of that here in Oxford so I'm a bit sick of it. Any other recommendations?

What a fun and exclusive club that would be! I am just about to change my picture though, so I would have to leave the club as soon as I established it.
I am missing the Ben Folds concert too, and am very sad about it.

Check out the event calendar link on the side of BWW under Insider Info. I found this there, but there may be updates as the dates get closer.
"Lauren Kennedy, who plays the watery diva The Lady of the Lake in Spamalot, will join host Seth Rudetsky for the March 30th edition of Seth's Broadway Chatterbox.
The weekly chat show, a Broadway institution for some years, features Broadway stars confiding stories to Rudetsky at Don't Tell Mama on Thursdays at 6 PM. The $10 donation benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, the nation's leading industry-based, not-for-profit AIDS fundraising and grant-making organization.
In addition to the $10 donation, a two-drink minimum is required.
Don't Tell Mama is located in New York City on West 46th Street, between Eighth and Ninth Avenues. For reservations, call (212) 757-0788"

"Who here feels like they have no idea what they're doing?" - George, Grey's Anatomy
Go see Grey Gardens, if for nothing else than Ebersole's performance.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
OOH! Lauren Kennedy! I'm flying in on that day and would LOVE to see that show. What time does Chatterbox end typically because I am hoping to catch some theatre that evening too.
Will Blonde be open/previewing by then? And I am trying to drum up enthusiasm in myself for Grey Gardens but listening to the CD hasn't convinced me yet... I'm a terrible person, I know. Any specific songs I should pay close attention to, and how different tis the B'way version compared to the recorded version?

Sorry to disappoint, but the Event Calendar entry is inaccurate.
Lauren appeared at Seth's Broadway Chatterbox last year, Thursday 30 March 2006! Hopefully it won't be too long before she makes a third appearance, though!
