I also think that Tommy Tune is waay to old, and that for the record, Dick Van Dyke's accent was hideous and he should never have done that film.

Fenchurch, you're right that Tommy Tune is too old. It would have been a perfect role for him, though, when he was in his 40's. As for the English accent, well, I don't know if he could have done it but he was so great that it would not have mattered that much.

John Tartaglia would be a fun Bert.

Dick Van Dyke was freaking BRILLIANT as Bert in the movie. His accent may not have been spot on, but they couldn't have made a greater choice for someone to play Bert.

Honestly, I would LOVE to see Barry Humphries as Dame Edna as Mary Poppins. No joke. Or at least as Mrs. Brill.

Also, I'd love to see Christian Borle as Bert, and for Gavin Creel to play him on broadway, but we should be thankful to have the wonderful Gavin Lee here as Bert on broadway right now.

I second Ruthie Henshall as Mary Poppins and Tim Howar as Bert. I would love to see the couple in something together. Didn't Tim say in an interview that he would love it if Mary Poppins went by their way?

Besides, Ruthie as Mary would be heaven!
