I thought the Bend and Snap song was really the only misstep of Act 2 - but honestly, I hated that sequence in the movie, so my opinion on the adaptation shouldn't be worth much.
"Bend and Snap" is a cute number, from a staging perspective it is a bit all over the place and crowded. I agree with some comments that Laura seems to have some snap issues which more then likely are caused by her costume. This is one of the many numbers where the main sorority trio join the action as Elle's "greek chorus" (get it?) vision. In this case fantasy takes over and everyone in the salon can see them and joins in.
(spoiler) I'm not sure I have heard anyone discuss the "Gay or European" courtroom number which is listed in the Playbill as "There! Right There!" most likely so the content of the number comes as a surprise. It's a great fun number and provided for the loudest audience laughs of the night. I'll save more details so I don't spoil it too much but it will make you smile :) Updated On: 1/24/07 at 04:57 PM
A snapshot from my mobile of the merchandise booth. Nothing really stuck out as great. Cute sweatpants with "omigod" on the ass maybe for girls, mostly run of the mill stuff tho. There were no souvenir programs for sale yet. We did pick up a large poster ($20) and a magnet ($5).
I'm gonna use that magnet to stick my Jason Patrick Sands photo to the fridge! Obsessive? Me? Updated On: 1/24/07 at 05:13 PM
All the Legally Blonde groupies on this board, and those making user names "legallyblondelike4ever" is creeping me the hell out. It's only the first out of town preview.
Oh yeah that photo reminded me, audience demographics. Predictably skewed young, female, gay male. Hard to be certain because it was a first night thing but it was nice to see the younger set out. The show definitely has a modern presence and perky personality and I think under 25 will react well. This is one more reason I make the comparison to Hairspray.

Thanks for your contribution to the thread. Catch you next troll?
That is not all of it but that is most of it. I don't remember black shirts and I do not remember seeing those hats they may have been a cast/crew thing.
RE: Leslie Kritzer, I know that someone said she looked too old but I didn't get that impression. She is part of the greek chorus trio and she has some individual stuff mostly in "Bend and Snap" if I remember correctly. I thought DeQuina Moore was great and she can work her body with the best of them. Annaleigh's role didn't really come forward for me until the end of the show, I would say of the 3 she has the smallest role.
"legally blond...just a question about your demographics comment. Can you tell someone is gay by just looking? Just curious."
Well I'm a gay man living in San Francisco so I think I've got that pretty much down. I knew some of them and most were couples and we don't hide it around these parts. Let's put it this way, they were either gay or European, possibly both
Thanks for the reviews so far! And for the pics of the playbill and the merchandise! I'm really excited and can't wait for April!

and it just so happens I do paint them green. Well, if anyone should ask me why, I say: 'I think it's pretty!'"
