legally blonde premire in SF... |
I know at least 3 at another board who're going. If they post any reviews in the parts of the board you dont have to be a member to see, I'll link them.

Can someone check with the box office about a rush policy for the show? I was told by a cast member that there would be rush, but can't seem to find anything more about it.

well, obviously... hopefully everyone who's seeing it will keep that in mind.

But that's part of the fun of the first preview.

Does it really matter if it is good or bad? Half of this site already has this show listed as one of their favorite musicals without even seeing it. People clearly will themselves into liking anything with a bulit in name. Wedding Singer, High Fidelity. I hope this show is good, but even if it sucks hardcore, it will still have its share of crazy fans.
Why do I have a sneaking suspicion that it actually will be a "pre-mire?"
'"Contrairiwise," continued Tweedledee, "if it was so, it might be; and if it were so, it would be; but as it isn't, it ain't. That's logic."'
~Lewis Carroll

Aw hey, you're clever.
I wish everyone involved in the show the very best -- may the first preview go as smoothly as... well, as a performance that isn't a first preview.
Can't wait to see it in two weeks!

I'll be there over President's Day weekend. Hopefully they'll have some sort of rush so I can go twice if it's good...
I'm hoping to catch it this week, and I'm really hoping that San Francisco manages to break its streak of bad L-Named musicals.

"Artists are always on the vanguard of change: they give the community a vision."
"Desire comes from the Latin "de sire", or "of the father", or "of the stars". We want what is magical, what is out there, what is of the stars. And so our characters should as well."
"If there are people who don't believe in you, don't hang out with them. Wish them well, wish them peace, and move on."

I'm not going to the premiere. I had a chance to, but after listening to the three song sample I got from a friend, I passed up the opportunity, as they were three of the worst songs I have ever heard from a theater piece. It was terrible, no joke. I still may see it, however, because who knows when this little sampler was recorded and it's a possibility these songs are gone/changed. Still, not a promising promotion.
"What the hell happened to you? You look like a Make-A-Wish Kid. You know, I just knew you were gonna bring shame on this new family of ours, and it just figures you had to go make yourself over into some heroin-shootin skate board chic on the only day E! could interview you!" - Cherry Cherry, on her daughter Mary Cherry

(on-topic) Am I the only one who liked the songs?

I LOVED THE SONGS...i thought the lyrics were quite clever. But another question: where do you hear the demos...? I've heard "Take it Like a Man" and "Omigod", but are there any others released?
I think the only other one that has been officially released (on the Demo) is "So Much Better."
"In theater, the process of it is the experience. Everyone goes through the process, and everyone has the experience together. It doesn't last - only in people's memories and in their hearts. That's the beauty and sadness of it. But that's life - beauty and the sadness. And that is why theater is life." - Sherie Rene Scott
