No matter what happens, if she wins, I'll be happy.

The best of luck to her!

"The Queen", actually. She really gets inside the head of Elizabeth II, it's remarkable.

She's great, but the two BABEL women give deeper, more emotionally charged and complete performances. I would like Hudson to win because I like her, but deep down, I think Kikuchi or Barraza deserves it.

A singer does not an actress make.

There's no split. There's only one supporting actress category.

I don't think there's any real way that Hudson cannot win - she will absolutely, positively win.

The only room for someone beating her is one of the BABEL girls, and here is why.

The most nominated film of the evening is BABEL. There has only been one instance when the most nominated film of the evening didn't win best picture (either drama or comedy.) So this means that BABEL is the frontrunner to win best picture, and that there will probably be a picture/director split.

If BABEL does, indeed, win best picture, you can bet that it won't win only one award the entire evening. Scorsese is a near lock, so look to Kikuchi, Barazza, or even Brad Pitt beating out Eddie Murphy for best supporting actor. I think it's an extreme possibility.

Golden Globes are huge and international and even though she is a leaving the space blank (cos im one of those knock on wood type of people) she more than deserves it and will get her a definite oscar nomination so i wish her all the luck in the world!

Okay, I'm sorry, but Rinko Kikuchi should probably win. Look at that FACE.

I am throwing my support behind Hudson as well. I think she's as much of a luck tonight to win as Streep and Mirren.

Munk, if they are going to give Babel another consolation prize to cooincide with Best Picture, it'll be Pitt over Murphy. This statuette is Hudson's for the taking.

Those wanting to catch the Supporting Actress category need to tune in from the very beginning. It is traditionally the first award handed out for the evening.

Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
