I was planning on buying the on-stage tickets online, but I wanted to know how the seats, a little behind the stage, were, (like AA 8 or 10). Is the view decent, or are you basically starring at the back of everyone during the show?

I took three friends to see SA last weekend. We had seats AA4-AA10. The actors backs will be to you for some of the show. AA4 is closer to the audience so you see more of the actors. Sitting on stage is an amazing experience. There has been some debate about losing some of the experience. This was my second time seeing the show. Looking back on it I think that helped me enjoy the onstage experience more. My friends who had not seen the show also enjoyed the experience. There only recommendation would be to listen to the OBC before the show. They felt some of the lyrics were lost on the some of the uptempo numbers, especially those in seats AA8,AA10. I preferred watching Bitch of Living from the audience because on stage alot of the song was drowned out by the foot stomping choreography. This was more than made up for by watching Totally F***** up close.
All in all you can't lose. Spring Awakening is my newest addiction and the only show I could see myself attending on a regular basis. I have onstage seats to see the show again in February.
Hope I was helpful.

ahem.. I believe its also the seat jon groff sits next to, no? :) its a dangerous seat I think for some (and by some I mean.. prob many) girls (and prob some gay guys too hehe)

and yeah, onstage seats seem amazing, but I'm really glad that when I went I got front row instead. I think that its prob have best to do one time in the audience, and one time on stage. That way, you get the best of both worlds!

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

I saw in G 22 last week- you miss entrances but that's just about it.

snl- AA4 is nezt to Groff. Ilsa also sits there. It was awesome hearing them singing background vocals on some of the songs. The downside is that my daughter is still mad at me because for sitting next to Jon before she could. The good news is I purchased AA4 after the show for her birthday in February.

Does anyone know how seats AA 3-9 are? Are they like AA 4-10 except on the opposite side? And does anyone sit there?

yes they are on the opposite side and yes actors sit on both sides.

They are great seats for the onstage experience (stage right near the piano, not next to the musicians). You do see some of the show from behind but yeah, being in the middle of "Totally F*CKed" makes up for it. None of the cast is seated with you in those seats, although they do pull up chairs at the end of the row towards the stage (AA1?) and if you're in AA9, they sit next to you and behind you at one point or another.

I liked being onstage but next time I'll see it from regular seats for a different perspective.

I just have some Rush questions, since Playbill's site hasn't been updated recently.

-Is it Student or General Rush?
-How many seats per person, one or two?
-Are tickets given out when the box office opens?
-What time would you recommend arriving on a Thursday?

Thanks.

To answer your first question, I believe it is student rush.

Anyone actor seated near A6 or A8? I'm taking my friend in a few weeks, (who hasn't seen the show yet) and I'm afraid her expereience won't be as amazing as mine, since I've already seen it from the audience. I just hope she's not dissapointed.

When I told her our seats were on stage her response was "Oh. So does that mean I can't take pictures?" Yeah. She hasn't seen a Broadway show before.

Also, does anyone in the cast regularly take Sunday nights off?

JohJoh525, it really depends on whether you're in the left box or right box. When I was in the left box, I missed the whole interaction by the piano which up stage right. Right box is better. You really only miss a couple of entrances/exits stage left.

I had box seats on the right side the first time I went and then mezz seats the second time. I liked the box seats much better. In the mezz I only noticed maybe 2 entrances that I had missed in the box, but I was much closer in the box so I didn't really care.

I'm in the right box, so that's cool. I just don't want to feel detached from everything going on onstage!

I have on stage seats CC 1-7. Any thoughts on these seats? Can you still see most of the show, or do you miss a great deal?

Thanks for any input!
