I know this is slightly off topic, but if you are learning German and you like the sort of tuneful music in most musicals, why not go a step further and try a bit of operetta?

One of my most treasured CD sets is a double CD on EMI (Angel in USA?) of Lehar's "Land des Lächens" (Land of Smiles)and "Die Lustige Witwe" (Merry Widow) with the superb cast of Elizabeth Schwarzkopf, Nicolai Gedda and Erich Kunz. Being operetta there's stretches of spoken dialog, which are quite easy to follow if you've already got some German and you can mimic to improve your prononciation etc. You also learn some oddities like the German for to flirt is "flirten"! Easy isn't it?
