I know people in their 40's who are too immature to handle this show. But then there are the younger kids who can handle the show. Honestly I think everyone should see it. It's just if you're 13 or under you should have a parent with you so they can explain some of the stuff or have an open discussion. Maybe once a week the cast could have a talk-back aftyer the show? I dunno, thats probably too much to ask but still it would be cool.

MANY 12 and 13 year old are way more mature than you think.

I saw this show in June, the night before it's official opening at the Atlantic. (By the way, I am 45 and not one of those immature people in their 40's!) Loved the show. Got to talk to and give a big hug to Steven Sater during the intermission. Got to Chat with Mr. Sheik aftr the show. We actually chatted about the recording of the show. At that point they knew it was transferring, but didn't not know where to. Well now we all know where it transferred to! Really enjoyed the entire show and have the cast recirding, which I just cannot stop listening to. Am going to be in NYC in July and plan to see it. One thing I think is wonderful and pretty cool is that Lilli Cooper is now performing on the same stage her dad did in the masterpiece "Caroline or Change". That has to be special to her. And him!

Just give the world Love.

So are you saying that discussing the show is bad?

There were a series of "talk-backs" after some weekend shows Off Broadway at the Atlantic just before that run ended. I believe the creative team led them- Michael Mayer, Tom Hulce, etc.

Cool, well maybe they could combine those possible Wed. Matinees with talk-backs...

Don't you hate it when you are obsessed with something (i.e. Spring Awakening and/or Sutton Foster) and you can't do anything about it? Yeah, I do.

How am I saying the show is bad with that statement?

They don't have Wednesday matinees. Updated On: 12/22/06 at 10:03 PM

I love the music and am looking forward to seeing it this summer.

I do, though, have a problem with people saying that "teenybopper" fans will ruin the show (or any show for that matter) for them. If you trully love the show, I just think there's no reason you should love it any less because other people are discovering it and come to love it too. ... that's just me? *let the hate posts begin*

I don't think there will be many teenyboppers with this show because of its maturity.

THANK YOU!!

I've always had such a problem with that notion for ANY show. Its like its not "cool" to like a mainstream, or popular, show, so the second a really good show becomes popular some people are like "ew I dont like it anymore". If you liked it to begin with, THAT should have no effect on how much you like it now whatsoever! Some people have just got to get over this idea that they cant like a show based on its fanbase. If you like a show, you like a show. It does NOT matter what the fanbase is like. I love wicked. And you know what? I'm not afraid to admit that because it's known for its teeny-bopper fanbase- because I know I'm not a teeny-bopper. And as far as I know, I love Spring Awakening too (I havnt seen it, but I love the music). And that's never going to change just because the fanbase gets bigger.

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

Hey guys, I'm Chris. And that "guy who started the myspace group" is me. For those of you who wants to be friends with the cast, it can be done. They are some of the MOST approachable people I think i have ever met. In fact, i will share with you this.

I went to see it on Friday, and after the show, I got a hug from every one of them. What made it special is that I didn't approach a single one of them. They all saw that i was waiting and they came up to me and engaged in conversation. Jon Groff was particularly warm. I mean when I am just finished seeing this show I feel the same way everyone else feels about these actors: they are superstars to me. So, for them to want to come and talk to ME is nothing short of flattering.

One thing i can definately say about them is that their fans are treated like royalty. Nothing ever goes unnoticed.

Anyway, along with some others, we now have a fully functional fan site forum up. And i wanted to extend the invitation to you broadway world posters out there to come along and spread some of this love our way.

We're at www.theguiltyones.org. The name is subject to change but we would love to see the community of spring awakening fans come together. So we made a place for you to do that. Planning a trip there with fellow fans...or just talking about why you love it so much. Come join the fun.

Chris

This show is so important, something I think people should see. Asides from it addresses topics that need to be addressed, it's full of great music, a fantastic cast, and a very poignant story.

If anyone is interested in my review from the other night, here it is.

I can't imagine why anyone would want to attack you for your review. I felt what you said and it actually moved me. You are obviously a sincere, honest young woman. The world needs more people like you. Thank you for the review, enjoyed reading it.

If you want that go to Naked Boys Singing.

"I'm learning to dig deep down inside and find the truth within myself and put that out. I think what we identify with in popular music more than anything else is when someone just shares a truth that we can relate to. That's what I'm searching for in my music." - Ron Bohmer

"I broke the boundaries. It wasn't cool to be in plays- especially if you were in sports & I was in both." - Ashton Kutcher

Just for the record, how young is the youngest cast member? I remember the casting call mention that they were looking at kids as young as 14, but I doubt anyone that young got cast. Thanks for the info.
