They did "One". Pretty good, but why couldn't they wear their gold costumes??
Yuka Takara & Charlotte D'Amboise didn't performance(replaced by Aravena & Isenegger). And did anyone else think Jessica Goldyn may have been out too. It didn't look like her, but then it didn't look like her understudy either(Pamela Fabello).
And does anyone know if Yuka Takara is alright?? She's been out for a long time.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. Argh! I turned the TV on around 9:20, just catching the last 30 seconds of the ACL performance! That was the one I wanted to see most! Oh well... I guess I can look forward to the White Christmas float and the Drowsy Chaperone performance on CBS.
Was that Heather Parcells?, because it didn't quite look like her.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
John Cullum and Patrick Page were out of The Grinch. And the little kids couldn't lip synche for their lifes. Neither could The Color Purple Cast.
Chorus Line was good.
Spamalot was good but I was looking forward to see how Jonathan Hadary was but he just sat there the whole time. They cut out a couple of parts.
The Rockettes are on now. and they just showed a commercial for "You're the one That I Want" that new Grease/Aerican Idol thing. And they're treating it like the movie when everyone should know the movie and the broadway show aren't the same.

you guys have sharper eyes than i, the only understudy i actually noticed was the guy filling in for john cullum. Kudos to the casts for dancing in the rain
"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel
That looked like Jessica Lee Goldyn to me. I think she just had her hair tied back. My mom caught that it wasn't Charlotte right away. Yuka has been out for close to two weeks now...that can't be good.
As for the gold outfits, I'm sure they didn't want their 2,500 dollar hats out in the rain. However, it looked like ACL got the best weather out of all the broadway performances so far.
How many of the shows that performed have shows tonight? I think ACL does and that's got to be a very long day.
I was happy for them They looked and sounded GREAT. I agree that the weather was at it's best for them. The Broadway Gods smiled on them
"Charlotte? WTF? Show up for God's Sake!"
Ummm... VERY rude. Charlotte has two children and a husband who she probably wanted to spend the morning with. She was there for the 2 seconds they blinked with ELLEN.
Yuka wasn't at the parade, either. No one has b***ched about her not being there. It's all "I hope she's OK" (Which I hope she is)

Of course that was Jess. If Jess is out, she's most likely in the hospital. Even then, she finished her show first.
The rain, the rain. Hair pulled back. Spoke to her before and after. The rehearsal looked like a water ballet. Home with family now for Thanksgiving dinner before the evening performance.
And in regards to Charlotte, I understand she has kids but would it have killed to show up for a quick rehearsal & then do the number and be gone by 10am.
As for Yuka, she's been out of the show for at least two weeks now. Something must be wrong(family emergency, bad injury, very sick, etc.) for someone to be out that long.

I usually don't get POed. It takes A LOT to make me upset. But this has.
It's Thanksgiving. Charlotte has two children, a husband and her foot has been bothering her. Perhaps she and the family left NYC for the Holiday. Maybe one or both of the kids/she/Terrence is ill. Maybe, just maybe, her family means more than singing for two minutes in the rain. Maybe something happened and she couldn't make it at the last minute.
You are all falling over yourselves with concern about Yuka- she could have shown up as well. No one is putting HER down. Everyone is worried for her (as am I.)
Did it occur to any of you that something MAY have happened to Charlotte/someone in her family because she was there when they blinked for two seconds with Ellen.
I am sooooo tired of *every* thread that has ACL in the title turning into a "How can we criticize Charlotte? What did Charlotte do wrong? Charlotte SuXs!!" discussion.
Thank you for sharing the picture. Oh... and Happy Thanksgiving.

I was really disappointed with the horrible musical button at the end of the song. Ew.
I loved it. I wish they would release it as a single. I've always hated how the song fades on CD. without the visual it's just not the same and it always leaves me wishing that there was some kind of button to end the song.
Why is everyone ragging on Charlotte? What you may not know is that her father is quite ill. Given that she has an injured foot and has been performing a difficult role pretty much non-stop -- a role which takes enormous stamina for ANY dancer, I think she is entitled to spend Thanksgiving with her family, especially her father.
And so you're saying that EVERYONE else in the cast wouldn't have rather been home with their families celebrating the holidays? It's a gift to be able to perform in the parade.

Wait, is Charlotte married to Terrance Mann, from Cats, Les Miz, and the ACL 80's film?
Yep!
I am kind of glad that it wasn't Charlotte, because when I was watching I was thinking "WOW! Charlotte looks really different from how she did two weeks ago, and not in a good way"
