It wasn't about that, Yessica, but simply about the fact that I was wondering if any 'musical' made it. There are many succesful musicals written in German f.e. (Like Elisabeth or Ludwig II), which never were translated/made it to Braodway. Therefore, I was wondering, if only musicals written in English can have succes there aka will be staged.
To take this a bit "further" - anyone of you (native english speakers) ever saw a musical, which wasn't performed in English? Any non english muscial, you'd like to see on Broadway aka translated?
For those of you who don't know, Kristina från Duvemåla is by Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson from ABBA. Its based on the Immigrant novels by Swedish writer Vilhelm Moberg and is currently in workshops for an English production on Broadway....the music is phenomenal and the story is epic...Its going to be incredible.
