I have been watching this show and she kind of creeps me out. She's just weird-looking. Sorry, I know some of you are going to get up in arms over me picking on a woman's looks who's not skinny and blond. Just so you know, I don't like the skinny blond (Ellen Pompeo) on the show. But Ramirez has an unflattering hairstyle and she looks inflated above the waist. Last night's episode everyone was dressed up and she just looked...bad. Heavy and clunky-looking. Frankly, she looks like she could crush George (her boyfriend on Grey's Anatomy) by hugging him. And she looks too old for him, even though those actors are probably the same age. I think Ramirez is lucky Grey's producer is committed to diversity in casting, because really she doesn't look good on the screen.
I love Sara on Grey's. She is very voluptious, not chunky really. If you look at her when she is squeezed into something she is actually pretty skinny, she just has a huge rack and is just built a bit bigger. I think she is quite radiating and doing wonderfully. She is actually way younger than the actor who plays George, who is one of the oldest out of the Interns. Loved the season finale!
I love the fact that she is chunky, chubby, voluptuous, heavy, less than skinny, whatEVER everyone seems to want to call it. She looks far more real than most of the leads in the show.
Pretty pretty please don't you ever ever feel like you're less than f**ckin' perfect!
I think the problem is that the scrubs look even less flattering on her than they do on the rest of the cast. She's not an ugly woman she just looks "chunky" in scrubs.
*the choice may have been mistaken, but choosing was not*
I think she is beautiful and I LOVE that there is a normal-sized woman on TV! However... She really does look silly with George. I've said that since the first time I saw them on screen together. She would look great with Alex! But, paired with George... it just makes her look larger than she is.
I don't think she looks bad, but she looks funny. My father asked me once if she'd had a neck injury, she looks like she can't turn her head sometimes. Now that's all I can think about when I watch her on the show.
(and yes, my father watches Grey's Anatomy, god help us all)
Now what would you say if today I started over?
Without a thing but this taped together four leaf clover
And I'll pretend like everything is already alright
And I'll run toward the sun till the castle's out of sight
I think that the reason that she works with George is because she "looks like she could crush him." George is a sweet guy that will and has let everyone walk all over him. What he needs is a woman to "protect" him, which, emphasized by her height and size in comparison, is exactly what Sara is.
Sara Raimierez was in Spamalot and she looked a lot smaller and more beautiful on stage than this show. T.J. Knight was in Noises Off if anyone remembers. She does look to "big" for George. For some reason, she looks bigger on t.v. than in person.

I really don't care for her. I have only seen her perform "Find Yor Grail" and that was enough. But as I was watching the show on Sunday night, I wondered what Michael Arden would be like as George.
Threadjack - Michael Arden was on Part 1 - Greys Anatomy Season Finale :)
And the other thing about the Phantom Lady was, Bert, she realized, in the city that never sleeps...
What did she realize, Kitten?
That all the songs she'd listened to, all the love songs, that they were only songs.
What's wrong with that?
Nothing, if you don't believe in them. But she did, you see. She believed in enchanted evenings, and she believed that a small cloud passed overhead and cried down on a flower bed, and she even believed there was breakfast to be had...
Where?
On Pluto. The mysterious, icy wastes of Pluto.
That's not fair to call her a man! edit- I thought you were talking about Sara Ramirez, sorry I'm not sure if she's coming back for season 3, hope she does though.

Yes he was. And as the gun shots went off and he ducked, it struck me that he might make a good George. I was really anticipating Sunday's show because Michael Arden was on.
I like her in grey's anatomy, tho she does seem a little big for george. I am a tall woman and have dated a guy shorter than myself in the past, so i get it. I do wish that she'd go back to theater, her voice is to die for, and on stage she commands more so than she does on tv. I think tv might be too small for her.
Why do so many people want actors with theater backgrounds to ONLY do theater?
With that attitude, the world could have missed out on the cinematic brilliance of Meryl Streep, Glen Close, Henry Fonda, Jimmy Stewart, Humphrey Bogart, Katherine Hepburn, Betty Davis, Marlon Brando, Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Richard Burton, Ralph Fiennes, Ian McKellan, Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Laurence Olivier, Peter O'Toole, John Gielgud, Paul Scoffield, Helen Mirren, William H. Macy, Morgan Freeman, Sean Connery, Sidney Portier, Ruby Dee, Ossie Davis, Peter Ustinov, Ralph Richardson, Geoffrey Rush, Glenda Jackson, Julie Andrews and many, many others.
I was skimming through the Grey's Anatomy message boards on NBC.com and there was an entire thread dedicated to how "fat" Sara Ramirez is and I was really quite annoyed by it.
I was partially annoyed by the fact that just because she doesn't happen to weigh 100lbs she is labeled as "fat" and also annoyed by the fact that I assume that many of those board posters have no idea what an exceptionally talented woman she is and that she is simply being referred to as "George's fat girlfriend".
I happen to think she's gorgeous and that she makes an interesting and positive addition to the show. I'm looking forward to seeing what the reaction is next season when she is more of a regular.
Sara is very talented and finally there is a Latina on TV that is not a maid or street walker. I think she is fabulous and is a wonderful role model for Hispanic and full figured women. Good for Sara!!!
Sara appeared on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson earlier this week and sang a hauntingly beautiful arrangement of "Fever". My God, that woman has a marvelous voice - and this was the most soulful rendition of Fever I've ever heard - from soft riffs to major belts and everything in between. It was fun to hear how she grew from her Mexican roots, lived in San Diego and attended dance & acting classes and eventually landed a spot at the Julliaird School of Music in NYC. She seemed like a real sweetheart and you can tell she's pleased with what's happening with Gray's Anatomy, but after hearing that voice of hers - putting her on GA is like putting Pavoratti on Scrubs. THAT's why people want to see her get back to Broadway... Broadway is her element.
