Well if its a free ticket I prob would go to anything. You really don't know if you are going to like a show until you see it. I have gone into shows thinking I would hate it because of reviews, etc... but when I left I loved the show.

Though I doubt I would turn down a free ticket to anything, I would only attend Lestat if there was nothing else to do.

Altar Boyz may be the only show I'd ever turn tickets down to.

ring of fire. I just don't like johnny cash.
"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell

I probably wouldn't turn down a free ticket, either. But if it was REALLY bad, I'd walk out.

I'd see anything once, especially if it was free.

That SPELLING BEE musical by Finn. Every clip I see, or even still shot, sets my teeth on edge. But I cannot sit through anything wherein adults play children.

Possibly Jersey Boys. I know it's very popular, but having seen a synopsis, I don't think it's the type of music I'd enjoy.

Mamma Mia. I have NO desire to see this show! I gave my comp seats here in Denver away and took 5 kids to see A Christmas Carol instead! I just can't sit through 2 hours of Abba. I admit, I do like some of their music (The song "The Visitors" rocks, and I own it) but I will never see the show! Everyone says I will like it and to give it a chance. In the words of Sophia in "The Color Purple"....Hell No!!! LOL
Just give the world Love.

If only "The Visitors" were in MAMA MIA... (Remember the long version, with the extended instrumental mix??? Great song, very atypical of Abba, however, no?)

The ONLY show I would turn down free seats to would be RING OF FIRE.

I've seen Ring of Fire twice now (not paying full price by a long shot). The first time I did find it a bit long but enjoyed the talent in the show and was moved by some scenes.
I then went back and saw it with a friend with free tickets, and to be completely honest we love it now. We can't stop singing the songs or raving abour Lari White and Cass Morgan.
I would never turn down a free ticket without a legit excuse of conflict. People shouldn't be closed to seeing bad theater, or obscure theater for that matter. Without seeing shows like Lestat, how would one know how to compare a good show from a bad show? If you only see Piazza Piazza Piazza, you're going to have a very high set bar for other shows to live up to.

I love America. Just because I think gay dudes should be allowed to adopt kids and we should all have hybrid cars doesn't mean I don't love America.
