Hugh or Howard?

ok whoever has seen both, which Phantom did you like best? hugh panaro or howard mcgillin?

As much as I love Hugh, he is such a sweetheart, Howard plays a more emotional Phantom. Personally I think Howard is a bit stronger but Hugh is very good too!

Howard McGillin is absolutley the best. He is much more powerful and dramatic on stage compared t ote others i've seen.
His voice is phenominal

Howard was incredible when I saw him. Had he not been so great, I don't think I would've liked the show as much, since Sanda Joseph was, well...bad.

But, yeah, I love Howard. His "All I Ask of You (Reprise)" made me cry.

I've never actually seen Howard live, I've only seen clips of his performances, but they were quite good.

But Sandra and Hugh together were amazing. I've adored Sandra Joseph as Christine for about eleven years, her vocal technique is excellent!

Howard definitly, plus SUCH a nice guy! A family friend of mine is related to him so he asked him to let us come backstage to meet him, he was getting his makeup taken off but he still talked to us and was just so nice, and such a good phantom!!

Both are wonderful actors that bring uniquely special facets to the Phantom. I can't say anything bad about them, and besides Hugh and Howard are close friends as well.

But in the end, my loyalties are with Hugh. LOL! :)

Howard was the first Phantom that I saw, and made the musical a wonderful experience for me. Not only is his singing beautiful, but his acting was hauntingly effective too (it's the only time I've really felt sorry for the Phantom). So, so, so excellent! Hugh's not bad either - and a hottie! - but no one has matched Howard!

Hugh is my phantom as well.

Sandra...she's not good. She constantly fails to reach to high notes. Her vibratto drags the pitch down dramatically.

Hugh is the best in my opinion. I do like Howard's Phantom as well, but Hugh gives more dimension to the role. And Hugh's "Music of the Night" just can't be beat!

Hugh was amazing...enough for me to see the show too many times.

Howard...well...I really wouldn't want to see him again unless I was there to see someone I like in the other roles. He's my least favorite so far.
