I'm glad you understand.

Now, never confuse "shod" with "scrod". Okay?

I had some delicious Scrod once. I was quite surprised.

And, on the Barefoot Front...less than two months until I'm there!

Saw the show last night, and really enjoyed it. Patrick Wilson and especially Jill Clayburgh (Tony nomination?) were excellent.

Amanda Peet was adorable but, as other people have said, she tends to project more... obviously then any of her cast members. I'm beginning to wonder about this, because: 1) She's done theater before, 2) She's been playing this role for well over a month, and 3) Why hasn't the director, or anyone else, pointed this out as a problem? Like several others, I have a theory (or a guess) that this is a character choice. Hmmm...

Just wanted to add to my 2 cents, especially since people were questioning Amanda specifically and how she would fare in the months ahead.

Well, I'm not quite sure. I didn't think she was good, but I'm not sure I would agree with the awful reviews she got. I mean I really enjoyed the show, but I just felt that Amanda...tried to be the character, but didn't have the spunk to really pull it off where I fully believed it all. Still, I don't think it ruined the show...I did really enjoy it.

I'm a little surprised at the reviews Patrick got, I thought he did great! Granted...I've watched the Phantom movie so much because of another yummy performer, and I thought he did a good job in that, but I just hate the character...so being so used to seeing him play that character, I just thought it was really fresh to see him play both aspects of this character. I thought he was funny, especially at the end!

And Jill and Tony were great, especially Jill in her revealing moment. But it is really weird that I think Tony Roberts looked older in Victor/Victoria, which was like over 10 years ago...

And I mean, sets in plays always impress me. I liked how they used different aspects, like snow to contribute to the story, and used the roof window for them to walk on, etc.

So all in all...it certainly wasn't the greatest show I've ever seen, but I laughed a lot and really enjoyed it.

The show is a very enjoyable show. A witty play with a rising Hollywood star(Peet), who CHOSE theatre over movies, and that should be celebrated. The sets are amazing, it was just a delight. Im glad you guys enjoyed it.

I'm not unfamiliar with this piece, and I'm not unfamiliar with theatre in general - I thought it was delightful. And I can't understand what everyone's problem is with Ms. Peet. She didn't 'scream' at all when I saw it - but maybe that was the one exceptional performance she had.
