Hey New Yorkers --
I'm heading to NYC tomorrow just for the day. What are the chances of getting a student rush ticket for Piazza for the matinee? If it's too risky, I'll just suck it up and buy a ticket (with discount codes!) online. I already used my $20-once-in-a-run ability to see it with the OBC last June :)

To my knowledge they only offer student rush weekday nights (i.e., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights, not even Wednesday matinee).
It's a good deal, but, from my experience, the people at the box office aren't that friendly and I don't imagine LCT being particularly flexible, so I wouldn't bank on getting student rush on a weekend unless you know someone who did it recently.

That's what I needed to know. I went ahead and bought myself a seat. It worked out well -- I got 3rd row orchestra.

Posted: 2/17/06 at 5:51pmYeah, Andy, I've also found the box office staff at the Beaumont to be particularly prickly! They aren't at all flexible, and I don't think I've ever gotten tix there without leaving saying to myself "Geez, what a pissy individual!"
But when did New Hampshire become--Such a backward wasteland of seatbelt hating crazies?...I mean, only 40 people actually live there. The others are just visitors who come for the tax-free liquor and three inches of novelty coastline. John Hodgeman on The Daily Show (1-30-07)
