Hey New Yorkers --

I'm heading to NYC tomorrow just for the day. What are the chances of getting a student rush ticket for Piazza for the matinee? If it's too risky, I'll just suck it up and buy a ticket (with discount codes!) online. I already used my $20-once-in-a-run ability to see it with the OBC last June :)

thanks!!

thanks :) I'll only get to the city around 12:30...so my question is more how difficult is it to get a student ticket? Do you think it's pretty easy to get a ticket....or that there's a good chance of getting shut out?

I actually haven't tried that yet. I used my $20 ticket.

To my knowledge they only offer student rush weekday nights (i.e., Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights, not even Wednesday matinee).

It's a good deal, but, from my experience, the people at the box office aren't that friendly and I don't imagine LCT being particularly flexible, so I wouldn't bank on getting student rush on a weekend unless you know someone who did it recently.
Andrew, tonight isn't about you! It isn't even about me!!! - [FD]

Andy --

That's what I needed to know. I went ahead and bought myself a seat. It worked out well -- I got 3rd row orchestra.

Yeah, Andy, I've also found the box office staff at the Beaumont to be particularly prickly! They aren't at all flexible, and I don't think I've ever gotten tix there without leaving saying to myself "Geez, what a pissy individual!"

Hmmm, maybe it's just the guy who works there. I've been several times and it's always been the same man, and he's definitely less than pleasant.
