Anyone know of any professional regional theatres who are doing PARADE? I REAAAAAALLY want to see the show!

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

It looks like there will be a production in Charlotte in Summer of 2006. The CPCC Summer Theatre will be doing it. They normally put on good performances of sometimes challenging works. There was an audition notice in the newspaper the past couple of weekends.

"You pile up enough tomorrows, and you'll find you are left with nothing but a lot of empty yesterdays. I don't know about you, but I'd like to make today worth remembering." --Harold Hill from The Music Man

Oklahoma City University is putting it on April 21-23. It will be a stunning production. Very well cast.
