So I have begun my binge listening.
But I have a problem that cannot be corrected until I go home.
All I have on my computer is Les Mis in Hungarian, Hebrew, Korean, Spanish, and a bunch in Japanese.
All my others are home!

Posted: 2/16/06 at 10:48pmAs I surely won't be able to go see it's New York return, I'll stay out of the argument (I love Les Miz, but I'd love to see great new work, too). However, what I'm more excited about at the moment is the tour. They supposedly will be closing down the tour, which has been going since 1988, I believe, so they can use their sets and some performers. And, as luck would have it, according to Broadway.com and the Les Miz tour site, the last stop for the tour will be my city, St. Louis, July 17-23! I'm trying not to be TOO excited about it, though, seeing as it has yet to be announced on the Fox Theatre website. That would be my OMG!!! (Sorry for the crappy internet lingo.)

I almost peed my pants when I saw this!!! My very very VERY favorite show--the one that got me into theatre in the first place!!!
The whole reason I went to NYC when I did last time was so I could see the show before it closed. Otherwise, we were going to go after I graduated high school.
I M.U.S.T. get to NYC to see this! Especially once the tour ends!

Posted: 2/16/06 at 11:08pmHey, maybe if I'm lucky, the "marquee-names" will be in the final tour cast, to get them ready, a la when they had Colm Wilkinson and others perform in San Fransico before going to China. Unlikely, I know, but hey, a guy can dream.

Someone mentioned nostalgia? How can you be nostalgic for something that really has never been away for any length of time.
My money is on a smaller orchestra, like the twelve pieces they now have in London. So visually it will be the same, but aurally something totally different.

I hope they fix the Runaway Cart scene...and if they cut down Turning, Turning...I'd be thankful!

But, Kitz - some of the cuts are better.
I love the new added verse in LOVELY LADIES.
I am happy they cut down Dog Eats Dog - though hpe they add some back to it.

the tickets are going on sale in June... no cast yet... yes it will probably be sold out...
and being a miz freak, I am very sad that I probably won't get the opportunity to see it since I'm all the way down in New Orleans and I've already investigated hotel prices and such... sheesh!
