Has anyone seen this or heard any of the music to it? I have an MTI sampler CD with a song(Whale of a Tale) from the show on it and was wondering if anyone had anymore info on it. I've been to the website for the show, but I am looking for other reviews.
I've only got the cd, which I love, and only can imagine that this was a fun show.
The story is told by a girls school for their parents day...so all of the parts are played by women (playing girls) except the headmistress who is played by a man.
Typical of British musicals, the voices are not stellar, but the acting comes throught the recording. Only wish I'd seen it.
"Carson has combined his passion for helping children with his love for one of Cincinnati's favorite past times - cornhole - to create a unique and exciting event perfect for a corporate outing, entertaining clients or family fun."
This was my first West End musical, and being only 10 years old, most of the dirtier jokes went straight over my head. I just remember both audience and cast both having an absolute ball with the show, complete with gloriously overacted performances, 3D sequences, and a pretty impressive set - I still listen to the live London cast recording whenever I'm in a nostalgic mood and it always cheers me up!
It's one of those shows which is a dirty secret. GREAT score, but performed very badly on the original London Cast Album. But that recording wasm't meant to be published.
Still I'm glad I can sing "If People build walls instead of bridges" once in a while.....
