Musical Theatre Comedy

Hey everyone, I'm writing a screenplay for a musical theatre short film, I plan for it to be about fifteen minutes. I have a few questions though, for anyone who would be so kind as to answer them.

What would you consider some of the steriotypes in musical theatre?

What shows would you like to see being made fun of? (Cats is a given.)

What kind of material should I add to make it funny?

Picking up a few books at your local library would be ideal for your future musical theatre writing endeavours, it really helped me when I tried to write some musical theatre stuff

No no, I'm not writing a musical. I am writing a screenplay for a video about musicals.
