When I was at the show last week they had a sign-up sheet for email addresses so that they could send info about the cast recording and when it would be officially coming out.
"Will the world remember you when you fall?" Les Miserables
I think there was something in the first article that came out about there even being a recording about it being available at the public in mid to late november but i hadn't heard anything since. and its quite possible my mind is playing games and i made that up.
"But now the air is filled with confusion. We replace care with illusion."
I remember someone mentioning *before* Thanksgiving, hrrrrm...why is my friend who lives like three blocks from the Public sooo uncooperative. Thank goodness for my academic sanity and Ms. Menzel that I don't live there, and I have to communute a whole half hour.
I talked with someone at the Public on Wednesday, and she said that they were supposed to get it in at the theatre before Tahnksgiving, but obviously that didn't happen. She said to check back this week and hopefully they'll have it.
They originally wanted it at the theatre during the run of the show (as everybody is saying, around Thanksgiving), but there was no possible way to get it pressed and out there in under a month. That kind of turnaround is nearly impossible in any case. However, I really don't think that the delay in release is going to help or hurt it in any way. The Idina fanatics and ardent admirers of LaChiusa's work will flock to pick it up as soon as it is available.
