I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
I am getting ready to have auditions in three weeks for a production of Wizard of Oz. I will be musically directing. Then the theatre group I am president of we are doing a show this spring (We are looking at Godspell but two other groups are doing it, so we are also looking at Children of Eden), and then in the summer we are doing 42nd Street. I am so excited. This community theatre is a very dance oriented theatre group so 42nd stree is the perfect show for us. I wanted to do this show for years, just looking for the right theatre to do it in. OK I may be stupid, but aren't Rent and Thoroughly Modern Millie rights restricted? I have been wanting to do Millie, and I keep getting told that the rights won't be available for at least 6 months.
My performance of Fame is tomorow. Im playing Schlomo.
<------ Me and my friends with patti Lupone at my friends afterparty for her concert with audra mcdonald during the summer of 2007.

"A Christmas Carol" of course. I will be playing the part of Fan, Scrooge's sister, for half of one weekend of performaces. When I am not Fan I will be highlighted in the very important role of a toy soldier. My parents are so proud. Hehe- It's become such a tradition that parts really don't matter when it comes to this show. It's just not a complete Christmas without "A Christmas Carol".
I'm doing publicity and running the light board for a show at my school called Little Footsteps. I'm also going to auditions for The Crucible at a community theatre tonight:)

Sorry ... I didn't reply earlier ... I've been away from the keyboard a little while.
I'm in Australia, where the rights have been available for a little while now. We've just started to rehearse and it's sounding good at the moment. I'm having an absolute ball singing all of Mark's stuff ... can't wait to get stuck into blocking rehearsals.
I have actually been enjoying the rare community theatre employee phenomenon known as a "vacation". (We close for 2 weeks for *insert winter holidays of your choice* ). Yay! The first vacation I have had since this time last year! But we start up with auditions the first two days back to work! "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" auditions on Jan 2nd & 3rd (performing in Feb.), followed by "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" (performing in March), "I Never Saw Another Butterfly" (performing in April), "Hansel & Gretel" (performing in May), and "Man of La Mancha" (performing in June). Yup, we *are* nuts. SO, I am not *currently* working on a production, but I will be in some way soon.

I go into rehearsels for a production of "And The World Goes 'Round" on Wednesday.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
I got cast in "Anything Goes" in Hoboken. I was called back for Erma but got ensemble. But then auditioned in NYC for a production of "Anything Goes" with a fantastic creative team and got cast in that as a singing sailor and decided to devote my time to that one instead. So I start rehersals at the end of the month and I am very excited.
I'm Marianne in Sense and Sensibility...I still can't decide if I like being in the show or not. I'm auditioning for Hello, Dolly! at school next week...I really want Dolly, wish me luck! :) Updated On: 1/21/07 at 02:22 PM
