Though there has been talk of a tour, I don't know if I would see it. I mean, yes, of course I would see it, but it wouldn't be the same without the original cast.
at closing nite we were talking with Nikki James and she said they had no idea about the tour yet, but she said she would love to do it. So we shall see. But i don't think its completely out of the question.
but i too miss all shook up

thanks TabooWickedFan, i was starting to get worried thinking that the cast didn't want to go on the tour, im glad to know that at least Nikki is willing to go. hopefully the leads will go on the tour too. i was there on closing night also, and i noticed how much the cast loves this play because all of them were getting so emotional at the end...so hopefully some of the cast members will consider going on tour, i sure hope so :)
In all due respect, I don't think they will suddenly reopen the show on Broadway. It's good to have dreams, but lets be realistic. I enjoyed this show, I have the CD, but i'm not IN love with it. Not knocking anyone that is, that's cool. I know how you feel, i'm upsessed with RENT - so I totally get the whole upsessive fan thing. However, the show is closed, and won't reopen. Although, I remember seeing on some tour company site, don't remember which one, but they had an icon of All Shook Up and said "coming 06-07." So I'm pretty sure they're going to tour it, just nothing has been announced. I'd go see this show, I don't care whose in the cast. I wish the OBC would tour with it, that'd be tight, but I'm pretty doubtful of Chad touring with it. Also, just because they were crying at the closing night performance doesn't mean they were in love with the show. During a show you become so involved with the people you work with that you become great friends with them (I'm going through this right now), and sometimes it sucks when you know you're not going to wake up tommrow and be around the people you love. Just to add my two cents...
I'm still sooo upset this show closed I really really really miss it!
At least its going on tour, at least in the site they said that a tour is in the works... Well, I'm glad that the cast have already found jobs, hopefully I'll go see them :)
RentBoy86, I agree with you with almost everything you said. And even though I would LOVE if it reopened on Broadway, I don't think that is going to happen. But I don't agree when you said that the cast didn't love the show. I mean of course they became close to each other and it was really sad to know that you woudn't be with these people everyday, but I think they loved the show too. They might have been crying because of the people they've been working too but I still think that they love the show. If they didn't they wouldn't do it 8 times a week. Heck, they wouldn't even have auditioned for it.

Yesterday, I got a promotion flyer from Bloomingdales. One of those promotions that if you spend a certain amount, you get a gift. One of the promotions was 2 tickets to ASU. How out of touch is their advertising agency?!?

Well for one, they're actors all_shook_up_fan, so they'll take whatever job they can get - most of them don't have the luxoury to sift through scripts to find the one that "means something" to them. I've been in shows where I loved the cast, but didn't care too much for the show, but the fact that all my friends were there, helped me get through the show everyday. I'm not trying to fight w/ you, i'm sure some of them loved the show, like you said, but all I'm saying is just cause they were crying doesn't mean they loved the show.
