I just bought it last night. Yes i am a bit slow. But i am in love with it now. My favorite is What was a Women to do.
Kristin Chenoweth could barely control a Great Dane she trotted onto the stage. "Great, they gave me a dog that weighs five times what I do", she quipped. For the record, she weighs 93 pounds, and has a Maltese.
My favorites are the last 2 songs on the Cd....I can't pick just one. (Although "Here I Am" is really starting to grow on me.) Updated On: 7/16/05 at 08:36 PM
Great Big Stuff was my first and perhaps still my fav very slightly. Like Zis Like Zat really is close behind though, as is Love Is Your Legs, always loved that one. Err, I love them all, but yeah.
"If there was a Mount Rushmore for Broadway scores, "West Side Story" would be front and center. It snaps, it crackles it pops! It surges with a roar, its energy and sheer life undiminished by the years" - NYPost reviewer Elisabeth Vincentelli
to sing/ listen to: great big stuff, here i am, dirty rotten number
because its just funny: what was a woman to do
because it mirrors my life far too closely: give them what they want (except the conning people part), love sneaks in
"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel
I love the version of "Nothing is not wonderful to be true" that Sherie sings in the bonus songs. The version on stage was my favourite in the musical, but the bonus version is my favourite on the Cast Recording.

"It's not a problem, it's just a challenge, it's a challenge, to resist temptation."
They're all really great, but anything from Joanna Gleason is my favorite. What was a woman to do has a certain comedy that only she can bring that I just love.
What was a Woman to do?, Great Big Stuff, Here I Am, Oklahoma?, Nothing is too Wonderful, Dirty Rotten Number, and the Finale. That's a lot but who cares.
And then, do you know Monseiur Marius, I believe I was a little in love with you.
♥♥♥
I think "Oklahoma" is hysterical- Sara Gettelfinger has me rolling every time I listen. The lyrics are as blunt as can be and I love it (much like the nature of the show which I adore). My favorite moment: "You can watch me blow those little f**kers heads clean off!"
"I need to know that someone out there cares...Are you there?"
Comedy: "Love is My Legs"- just kills me. Ballad: Tied between "Love Sneaks In" & "Nothing is Too Wonderful" Yes even the duet version is soo pretty. ( ah jeez)
it changes from time to time because all songs are my fav., but know the winner is "give them what they want"
Norbert Leo Butz quotes about John Lithgow: "He's really clumsy. One of the joys in life is to watch a great big huge man totally wipe out backstage. It takes John about three minutes to hit the floor. It's like watching a Great Sequoia falling gracelessly."
