i also think that woman playing Mimi is gorgeous! it's weird to see a Mimi with long, straight hair instead of short, curly hair. but whatever works. those pictures are really cool! i'd be interested in seeing that.
i heart RENT.

Indeed as a native from Korea, I must give this production my applause! And further fuels my opinion that you don't have to move to Korea to play a character like Mimi if your Korean. I mean she looks like she's doing a great job on that stage so whats the difference if its in NYC instead of Korea?
I wanted to get something that an "ex"-junkie like him would really appreciate and cherish....it's a brick of heroin shaped like a heart.

lol no I'm saying if your of Korean ethnicity you shouldn't have to feel like you need to move to Korea to get the role of Mimi since here the styreotypical Mimi is Latina.

To dreamcatcher & Aigoo... Korean woman here too! [and aigoo... I really thought you were korean from the beginning, but I didn't want to ask and make you feel uncomfortable]
I wonder how popular it is in Korea... hmmm. I like the pictures though, thanks mint!

Not sure how popular it is in Korea. Maybe not as popular as in NYC but if its still running it must be doing pretty well. But anyways, it looks like a pretty cool production. It's just that I look Korean upon first glance and Mimi has always been a character I'd love to portray but I don't want to have to move to Korea to stand a chance at ever obtaining such a role. :-P If Korean women can play Mimi there, why can't they play Mimi here? Sorry for the slight ramble, just had to get it out.

Thanks steph... we know we're gorgeous just kidding
But anyway, dreamcatcher... I seem to have that same ramble as you, because there is a lot of problems at my school with racism. My sister didn't get the part of Cosette because she was Asian and didnt look like Fantine [there are 2 Asians in the choral department... me and my sister]. I will always have that problem when auditioning with the whole 'parent or siblings not looking like me thing'. It's high school... it shouldn't matter, just like it shouldn't matter if Mimi is Asian or anything else.
My own rant/ramble... of sorts, ~kangaroo
