What does everyone think of the casting choices? I haven't heard the music or seen it before, so I'm not that familiar wiht what the roles require. I'd love to see Alan on stage again though, and Nellie McKay is my favorite musical artist-but not sure about how she would be on Broadway, but I wish her the best!

And Edie falco...does she sing?

I saw it with Raul Julia and Ellen Greene in Avery Fisher Hall. It was memorable and Raul Julia was so sexy. Ellen Greene was fabulous, of course. Anyway, I am looking forward to seeing it again. Updated On: 2/25/05 at 07:36 PM

I love the cast. It's very daring, and I can't wait to see Edie as Jenny. And Nellie McKay! On a Broadway stage! I can't wait.

Which movie, you mean MACK THE KNIFE with Julie Walters and Julia Migenes? I thought it went rapidly downhill after the opening number! There was also the original 1928 version with Lenya and a 1960 version with Hildegarde Neff and Sammy Davis, Jr. as the Streetsinger.

I really don't see Cumming as the macho, dangerous, womanizing killer Macheath. He'd make a good Street Singer, though.

Well sure, but he wasn't exactly a traditional choice for the Emcee either.
