It's terrible, I know, but I'm hoping to see Cabaret for the first time before it closes. I know there are tables and non-traditional seating but, otherwise, I'm at a loss. What would you suggest for a first (and only) viewing?
Thank you!

Get a table in the orchestra if you can. The 200s and 300s section are great and way less expensive than the 100s. You want to be a part of the action and club setting, trust me. If you can't get anything downstairs, front mezz is good, but really try for a table.
I'd go for the banquett couch seats behind the 100 tables. Those wooden chairs at the orchestra tables are unGodly uncomfortable. I'm young and I hardly made it through the first act.

I agree.. I have seen the show 4 times and was in the orch.for each show.. but the best seats I ever had was the couch seating... which if you look at the seating chart is the purple seats where it says AA... the other seats that were not bad were where it says BB, it was bar seating, you were on a high barstool with a counter/bar in front of you....
the tables get a little to crampy, all tables seat 4 people, so if your only going with one other you have to share this very small table with another couple.
When I checked earlier, I was offered table 209 as the best available. Sounds like that's pretty good then. Thanks so much - you've all be very helpful!

Table 209 is GREAT! I hope you took it. Seriously, the banquettes are comfy as hell, but you have the potential to have tall people sit in front of you, and the actors are cut off from the knees down. They're not on an incline. If you don't care about that kind of thing, it's fine, but if you want to see the full show, then take a muscle relaxer and sit at a table. Or something, hehe. Have a drink or 2, and you won't even notice that your butt has become completely numb.
I have to agree with Cabarethed about the banquettes. While very comfortable, I am short, and found myself having to continually shift to peer around taller people seated at the 100 tables in front of me. Because they are on chairs, they end up even higher than the banquettes, which are couches. I love the 200's myself, 300's are fine, and very front mezz gives a great view of some of the emcee's antics.
I had to wait ages and ages to find out if I was actually going or not but I finally got tickets. Ended up with Table 319. Not as great as 209 but I'm satisfied :)
Thanks again for all the help!
