The 1st preview was moved to the 8th. The people who wanted to see the 1st production are going to be pissed, they have to wait until the 14th....here is the article.

They are waiting for the California recall vote. If Mr. Schwarzenegger is not elected, the producers will offer him the Joel Grey role.

Hmmm....

I can understand the safety issue and wanting to run more checks.

I've heard a few rumours floating about with regards to techinical things like the monkies actually flying over the audience and the like. I don't know how true that is, but if it is the case, then yah I'd like the added security that some monkey isn't going to fall in my lap during the show.

Yes, there a LOT of technicals things that were added in to the Broadway production and safety is always a number one issue. Those sets are not lightweight. They are built to last and put up witha lot of punishment and those special effects have to be VERY precise or someone can be seriously injured. I am much happier to know that the produces are concerned enough about teh well being of the cast that they would postpone to make sure it is all good unlike some other producers *cough* Fran and Barry.. who I am sure would have been more concerned about the buck and rushed them through.

I think it demonastrates good judgement on the part of the producers.

i am SO pissed off..this is just my luck... i dont even think I can go on the 14th!! if i can and i have 2nd row center..will i still get the same seats i had for tomorrow!?!

I have a feeling Wicked is going to have amazing effects! The monkeys flying over the audience makes great sense. I like how the gears are on the sides of the orch.

My sister just told me about this! Shes so upset because she was suppose to see the first preview!
