I'll be in the off Broadway show, "For Pete's Sake!" at the Beckett Theatre. It's a limited engagement - October 14th to October 19th. I am a chorus member and swing for the 2 male leads - and there's a very good chance I'll be going on during the run. The show was actually written for me to be the lead when it was performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival - but I turned it down - but now I'm becoming part of the show during its run in the city. Hopefully, I'll get to go on as the part. But anyways, it's a fun show - lots of energy, great dances, great songs, great cast. There's a light in the darkness of everybody's life.
Seany, Theatre Baby was refering to the Barbra Streisand film. It is a screwball comedy (not a musical),but obviously this is something quite different. I hope it goes well for you. Keep those of us who are unable to attend up to date. And Break a Leg!!
Sorry, I was joking around before. I know it's nothing like the Streisand movie. I just found it funny that it had the same title, so I thought I would make a joke.
Break a leg with the show, and let us know how everything is going with it. :) You must be very excited.
"It's the little things; the details, that distinguish the Barbra Streisands from the Rosalyn Kinds."~Gilmore Girls~
The title of this thread is misleading. Seany makes us believe that he's performing ON Broadway, then tells us he's OFF Broadway. This is a bitter disappointment for those here who never venture into theaters that aren't designated "Broadway".
I really hope some one from our community that lives in the neighborhood can get over to the Beckett to see our little Seany. If anyone goes, please tell him Auntie Sueleen sends lots of hugs and kisses. Let us know if you go!
