"Defying Gravity" is a thrilling, chill-inducing Act I closer that had San Francisco audiences cheering!
At the same time, it brought tears to my eyes both times I saw it. Idina Menzel is a wondrous Elphaba and you care for her very deeply right from the beginning of the show.
When this number takes flight (so to speak) your senses go into overdrive. That's one HELL of a vocal instrument Menzel carries around with her!
I love Idina, I think she's got an extremely gifted instrument. But from the few people that i know who have seen it they say cheno's great but idina can stand to be recast, is this true????? i hope not!!
