Show t-shirt suggestions.#0
Posted: 9/14/04 at 9:45pm
So I saw Chicago and got the 'Not Guilty' shirt. And it's nifty and all, but I can't help but think that the shirts could've been more interesting. I would've rather had one that said something like 'It was a murder but not a crime' or 'My exit music, please' So my question is this: What would you put on the souvenier shirts for different shows. Examples:

"My girlfriend lives in Canada"
"Schadenfreudre: Making the world a better place to be"
"Take me out tonight"
"Moo with me" (the stuffed animal has a shirt, but people? nooo)

No idea, sweetie, but I adore the "My Girlfriend lives in Canada" idea.

these are great ideas -- an ink jet printer and t-shirt transfer paper can give you the originals...I've made many of my own!

WICKED:
"Shiz-nit"
"I'm not that girl"
"What the Shiz?"
"They call me wonderful"
(and this is totally random, but I'd love a shirt that said "I stole a ring from the flying monkeys". Cool points to anyone who understands that.)

AVENUE Q:
"Fantasies Come True"
"Make me a mix-tape"
"I can't even get a taxi!"
"Gotta find my purpose"
"I wish I could go back to college"
"I can make you feel special"
(does anyone else want "The internet is really really great... FOR BROADWAYWORLD!")
I starred in a short film called Magnetic Personality. Check it out!

Get a plain white t-shirt, get a black marker and write "I made this shirt myself"... re: Show t-shirt suggestions.

I like the Lucy T Slut shirt....but also the Billy Flynn shirt.

I definetly wouldn't buy a Wicked shirt.

Or maybe "I'm a little bit racist" but I'd get shot.

I think the current Avenue Q shirt (the one that says "Yeah, they're real") is okay, but some of the joke is lost; what's funny about Lucy T. Slut saying it is because her breasts aren't real, they're made of foam!

I would love the following Avenue Q T-shirts:
"The Internet is really really great....for PORN!"
"What do you do with a BA in English? What is my life going to be? Four years of college and plenty of knowledge, have earned me this useless degree!

I remember when the cast and crew of Les Miz once got shirts that said, "Better Longer than Cats". I thought that was pretty funny.

I'd also love to get a T-shirt with one of my favourite lines from Hairspray:
"I'll eat some breakfast, then change the world."
BlueWizard's blog: The Rambling Corner HEDWIG: "The road is my home. In reflecting upon the people whom I have come upon in my travels, I cannot help but think of the people who have come upon me."

I actually suggested the ""What do you do with a BA in English? What is my life going to be? Four years of college and plenty of knowledge, have earned me this useless degree!" for my English department. The only one who fell out laughing with me was my friend who listens to the cast recording with me.

Needless to say our professors were not laughing with us.

CHICAGO
- "I Am My Own Best Friend"
- "I simply cannot do it alone"
- (I think we should make CJR a special one that says, "So, do you recognize my boobs yet?")

FIDDLER
- "daidle deedle daidle digguh digguh deedle daidle dum"

HAIRSPRAY
- "Hairhopper"
- "Stop! Don't! No! Please!"
- "Miss Baltimore Crabs"
- "Big, Blonde, and Beautiful"
- "If you try to hold me down, I'm gonna spit in your eye!"
- (my school team name is the SMC Belles, so I might make one for myself that says "I Can Hear the Belles!" Cute, right?)

LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS
- FRONT: "Just me... and a toastah..." BACK: "and an ironing machine..."
- "Someone show me a way to get out of here!"

RENT
- "I like boys... Boys like me... You'll see..."
- (this one is just for me) FRONT: "Another time, another place. Today for you, tomorrow for me. No day but today." BACK: "I don't get it either." (or alternatively, "appaRENTly they're conflicted")
- "I don't know about you, but I measure in cups of coffee."

WICKED
- "My future is unlimited"
- "Tragically Beautiful" (and/or "Beautifully Tragic")
- "Let's go down to the Ozdust Ballroom!"
- "Everyone deserves a chance to fly"
- (and my personal favorite:) "Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe"

WONDERFUL TOWN
- "That's a good way to lose a man!"
- "What do you think of the... CONGA?"
- "Rock right out of that rocking chair!"
- "98 ways to go!"
- "Maybe we'd better go home..."
- "Green? No. Red? No. Me Tarzan? Nah, nah, nah nah..."
- "Life is calm. Life is sweet, pleasant and peaceful on Christopher Street."
- "Come on, Jackson. You're gettin' hip!"
I starred in a short film called Magnetic Personality. Check it out!

For Little Shop maybe one that says "I cook like Betty Crocker" on the front and "And I look like Donna Reed" on the back.
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.
