When I had a root canal, my iPod randomly started playing "Dentist!". Very interesting experience there.

I had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled this summer and I felt like I was going to die for weeks. Thank God they gave me a bottle of painkiller with codium. I loved that bottle

I had mine cut out and had no trouble and no pain. It must be better to just have the all-out surgery.
But, I understand because I have had 9 teeth pulled over the course of my life... I hate being in dentists' offices now. Though, this past time I kept thinking about LSoH and tried not to laugh.

I feel your pain. I was plagued by crowded teeth growing up and had most of my baby teeth pulled to make room. I also had two adult teeth yanked, which hurt a lot more than my wisdom teeth. Anyway, I hope you feel better soon!

That isn't funny monkers. It was the codium talking. It made me oh so drowsy. I was in dreamland. The bottle got really low really fast because I really needed it for nappy nap-time. I had to start rationing it out. I saved the last tablespoon-full for an emergency.

I had all four pulled at once and I was knocked out for it. All four were impacted and my two bottom ones were horizontal. They told me that there was a problem with my nerve being too close to the tooth and that there was a potential that I would lose feeling in my lower jaw for up to six months.

Luckily that wasn't the case. I actually also was swollen for about 4 days but I didn't have pain. I only took the vicodin (sp) they gave me once, and it didn't do anything for it. So after that it was just a throbbing for a few hours but I took an advil and after that I was totally fine aside from looking like a chipmunk.

#1 - TAKE THE DRUGS!
#2 - try not to worry - my wisdom teeth seriously healed so quicly - i went 2 days later and I had already 100% healed and they took the stitches out - it'll go by quick!

I've had other teeth pulled, but not my wisdom teeth. I've always remembered it being an easy process. I couldn't feel a thing. I would count how many times they had to yank my tooth left and right before it came out. It's amazing the things we do to avoid pain.

Yes, I've had two normal teeth pulled before. They had to give me a triple dose of novocane. I think they thought I was a loon after that. Oh well, I probably am.

sorry to hear that, Amneris, hope that they heal quickly and that the pain goes away faster. I hope they did give you some kind of painkiller. Surely you wouldn't abuse them!!!

When I got my wisdom teeth pulled I got dissolvable stitches. A weird concept, huh?

Hang in there Amneris. Two years ago, I had all 5 of mine pulled at once (MISTAKE!!!). That's right, I was one of the unfortunate to have 5 of those things. I couldn't eat solid food for nearly 4 days. It will get better, trust me. Take care.
