Hey guys!!!!!
Here's a question.... who is the nicest person you've ever met @ the stage door?? Not the hottest or most famous... but most polite and gracious.

Cathy Rigby.
Chatted, did photographs and autographs with everyone in line, and even had another show later that day.
Someone was deaf, and she tried to find her daughter who knew sign language.
This was Seussical tour.

The entire cast of The Q
Kerry Butler was sweet as heck.
Doug Sills was a riot!
Nancy Opel remembered me a year later and picked up our conversation like we were old friends. SO nice!
Veanne Cox and Tony Kushner had a 15 minture conversation about theatre, good/bad shows, and the Tonys on the street. I was in awe.

Denis O'Hare was by far the nicest person I've ever met. Both times I saw the show (Assassins, by the way.), he made me feel like he knew me and that we were long-lost friends catching up after a community theatre production.
Mario Cantone was incredibly nice as well...he joked around and was very considerate -- he even took two pictures with me, and the second one was by his suggestion because he thought that the first one didn't come out well enough!
Sean McCourt of Wicked was also a doll -- he was understudying the Wizard that day, and when he came out he didn't get much attention at all -- but I thought he did a fabulous job (especially going on for Joel -- that's GOT to be daunting) and talked to him...he was such a sweet person. And surprisingly, despite what 2 of my friends had told me, Idina Menzel was totally sweet. She just seemed shy, if anything. But she signed for everyone and thanked everyone very graciously...she shook hands and smiled...she even talked to people (as in, small conversations), despite the utter mad rush to get to her.
I met Bill Youman after Titanic: A New Musical, which I didn't really enjoy...but he gave my mother and I a tour around the backstage and was one of the nicest, most gracious, and funniest people I'd ever met. He wasn't known AT ALL back then (this was Pre-Wicked/Dr. Dillamond), but I've heard he's still just as friendly.
Anne Heche was also very nice...she talked to a girl's friend on her cell phone after coming out of Twentieth Century.
